If you had to look in your grandchild's eyes and say, yes I knew it was going to happen but I didn't bother to do anything about it- that would be a terrible thing.
In the past we didn't understand the the effects of our actions- unknowingly we sowed the wind and now literally we are reaping the whirlwind- but we no longer have that excuse- now we do recognise the consequences of our behaviour- now surely we must act to reform it- individually, collectively, nationally and internationally before we doom future generations to catastrophe."
~ Sir David Attenborough
The time has come for action.
I am reminded of what it must have been like in the sixties when revolution was in the air, and the passion of so many was evident everywhere in society. When there was no other choice but to accept the coming change and not only embrace it, but to take every action to ensure it's eventual acceptance into society's consciousness.
This is my hope for our current position. That humanity will enlighten itself and embrace a culture of sustainability and an Earth loving mindset. Where the heart is the driving force behind our actions and thoughts, and we gift to our children and our grandchildren a Shambala; a radiant, healthy planet Earth and society with love at it's very core.
Is it really an impossible mirage, a figment of imagination? Is humanity that self deluded that it is unable to save itself even at the expense of innocent generations?
"We stand on the threshold of transforming the Earth. In coming decades we may either continue on our current path and cause the dangerous warming of our world or as a global community we can come together in a bid for change.
We have to take action now if we are to protect our planet and our children's future"
~ Susan Sarandon, Actress
Let's make it happen.
Take just one action today and see how it feels. Then one more tomorrow and the next day and the next.
"The fluttering of a butterfly's wings can effect climate changes on the other side of the planet."
